Jenkinson: Asian fans blew me away

CARL Jenkinson admits the reception the Arsenal players received on tour in Asia last summer "blew him away" -- and he can't wait to head back again.

The Gunners arrive in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday for matches, training sessions and events in Malaysia, China and Hong Kong. And if last year's experience is anything to go by, Jenkinson will enjoy every single minute of it.

"We're all really looking forward to it," he told Arsenal Player. "We enjoyed it last year and we're really looking forward to getting back out there and seeing our fans again. "To see (the supporters being) so passionate and to see their love for the club and the players was amazing.

"I can't say I expected it to be like that -- it really blew me away."

It was something of a whirlwind experience for Jenkinson last summer, as within weeks of joining Arsenal he was whisked off to the other side of the world on tour.

"It was an amazing start for me. It made me realise that I was at a club like Arsenal now and to go to such a fantastic place and play football was a real privilege."

Tickets for Tuesday's Malaysian Selection-Arsenal match at the National Stadium are priced at RM58, RM68, RM108 and limited VIP tickets at RM388.

Tickets are available at all Ticketpro outlets nationwide, Ticketpro hotline 03-7880-7999 and www.ticketpro.com.my.

The Arsenal training session will be held on Monday (National Stadium, 8.30pm).
