Talisman suspended but Johor FC confident

JOHOR FC'S Brazilian ace Arthur Henrique, better known as 'Arthuro' is suspended but the Super League club, 3-2 down from the first-leg, are confident of advancing to their first ever FA Cup semi-finals at the expense of Sime Darby in the quarter-finals, return leg at Pasir Gudang Stadium today.

The Brazilian will sit out tonight's match after he was booked for dissent in the first-leg  at  Selayang Stadium last Friday.

He was also booked in Johor FC's 5-4 win on penalties over five-time champions Selangor in the second round.

Johor FC manager Wan Nizam Wan Omar, while admitting that Arthuro will be missed, is confident that his team have others who can make up for the one-goal deficit.

"For sure we will miss Arthuro. He is not only our top scorer with nine goals but he has scored in every match since he joined us.

"But we are certainly not amused with the yellow card he picked up at Selayang," said Wan Nizam, who added  that the club will take some sort of disciplinary action against the striker.

"The local players will have to shoulder the responsibility of ensuring Johor FC's place in the semi-finals.

"A 1-0 win will be enough for us to advance on away goals but we will go all out for a convincing win."

Johor FC will count on former international Eddy Helmi Abdul Manan, who did not play in the first-leg due to a knee injury, Farid Ederis and Haris Safwan for goals tonight.

First choice goalkeeper Anis Faron is also available after missing the first-leg because of high fever. Former Harimau goalkeeper Mohd Zamir Selamat kept goal in Selayang.
