GENTING HIGHLAND: Resorts World Genting recently organised a football match between Liverpool Football Club star Robbie Fowler and the underprivileged children of Rumah Ozanam in Petaling Jaya.

The match was held in conjunction with Euro 2012.

Thirty-two children from the home were invited to enjoy the fun rides at the Genting Theme Park in the morning before they proceeded to the match at Football Village, First World Plaza.

They were given a chance to play four types of interactive football games called Target Football, Radar Cage, Super Shots and Power Save.

They were divided into three groups and each player had to earn his score individually at three check points -- Target Football, Radar Cage and Super Shots.

The top 10 scorers then proceeded to the final stage at Power Save.

Players were only given a chance to save shots from Fowler himself.

Logeswaran Raju, 10,  outdid  the other players  to walk away with the prize.

Logeswaran said  he was so excited when Rumah Ozanam was invited to join the  event.

"I was even more thrilled when we got the chance to play football with  Fowler," he said.

The champion of the match walked away with a ball specially autographed by Fowler while other participants received  souvenirs from Resorts World Genting.

After the prize presentation, the children posed for a group photo with Fowler  and the vice-president of public relations and communication Katherine Chew.
