ARE you game for something different? How about 3-sided futsal with three teams, three goal posts and one ball in a circular court?
Road shows to promote the new game are being held in universities and colleges in the Klang Valley.
Mahendra Varna Pupathy, whose team, OK Units, have qualified for the main draw on May 5-6, said at a recent road show at TAR College, Jalan Genting Kelang: "It's an interesting and thinking game. We have to be on the ball all the time and must change our playing style to use the sideboards for creative deflective passes to score goals."
Leonard Chew of Team Tai Heng 10, who have also qualified for the main draw, said: "Wow! it was really tiring and great fun. One has to be on the move all the time."
The first round of the main draw after the promotional road shows will be held at the Sports Planet Kota Damansara Futsal Complex. The grand finals will be held on May 27 at the Subang Avenue Shopping Complex, Subang Jaya.
The champion team will walk away with RM10,000 cash while the runners-up will get RM7,000. The third placed team will get RM5,000.
