    SOCCER PASSION:Fans get once-in-a-lifetime chance to watch UEFA semi-final in Ukraine

    ONE hundred passionate football and Carlsberg fans had the opportunity to  watch the UEFA EURO 2012 semi-final between Portugal and Spain at the Donbass Arena in Donetsk, Ukraine recently.

    Dubbed "real fans" by Carlsberg because of their passion for the game, these diehard football lovers had earned a spot in the largest entourage from Asia headed for the tournament.

    Winner Ganesh Kamrajoo, 24, of Batu Caves said: "I have never been luckier. Now that I have won, I feel extremely lucky but nervous at the same time as this is my first trip out of the country.  I am very grateful to Carlsberg for giving me this fantastic experience."

    Low Kar Men, a 23-year-old student from Kuala Lumpur said: "My favourite player is Cristiano Ronaldo who plays for Portugal. I never imagined I would be watching him play live in the semi-final of this tournament. This is like a dream come true, thanks to Carlsberg."

    Chuah Huat Beng, 37,  from Penang said: "I have been to Barcelona, United Kingdom and Paris  but this is my first time to Eastern Europe.

    "I love football and I love being able to watch a UEFA EURO game live, this is a great opportunity."
