KUALA LUMPUR: The fate of 65 stray dogs cared by a homeless man remain uncertain. As of yesterday, only four people have come forward to adopt some of the puppies.

Streets highlighted the plight of the canines which senior citizen Wong Choon Pan has been sheltering in an empty shop lot in Pekan Ampang.

The shop owner has told Wong to vacate the premises by today.

Non-governmental organisation, Malaysia Independent Animal Rescue had appealed to the public to either help adopt the dogs or provide a plot of land to place the dogs.

The shelter can only take in between five and 10 dogs due to  space constraint.

The NGO urges the public to  help save the dogs. If the dogs are not adopted, they will be put to sleep by the authorities
