Hunt for a worthy cause

KUALA LUMPUR: Treasure hunt enthusiasts and kind-hearted Malaysians alike can look forward to spending an exciting day solving puzzles, re-discovering the beauty of our city-centre and contribute to a noble cause at the same time.

The Gnana Bodha Sabha (GBS) Motor Charity Hunt is back with RM15,000 cash and prizes to be won.

The half-day GBS Charity Hunt will take place on Sunday and  is open to both novice and seasoned hunters.

The event will kick off at Padang Merbok, Kuala Lumpur, and participants will be on a "Discover Kuala Lumpur" route that will prove to be challenging and tricky.

The funds raised from this event will be channelled towards worthy causes to assist the less privileged communities in the Klang Valley.

GBS's primary focus is to provide long term support and guidance through cultural fundamentals.

"We look forward to another exciting event for the participants to have a day of fun while  being a brilliant way to support the less fortunate," GBS Malaysia  president Kunasegaran Marimuthu said.

"Our activities are community-centric -- offering cultural training, and motivational camps.

"These activities  are in line with the Government's vision to provide a level playing field for children from various communities and provide them with opportunities they would usually have missed out on," he added.

Since it was introduced in 2010, the hunt  has attracted encouraging participation.

There will also be an online weekly contest leading up to the  day of the hunt.

Attractive prizes are up for grabs and for more information on the hunt and online contest, visit  http://gbscares.blogspot.com/.

The GBS charity hunt has become a popular event since it was first organised in 2010.
