KUALA LUMPUR: Have you ever wanted to enjoy a fine-dining experience that is affordably priced? Then head to Novotel Kuala Lumpur City Centre for its Jom Makan buffet at RM49.90 per person.
Chef Al Muhaimin Nordin and his culinary team have prepared a sumptuous spread of authentic Malaysian dishes for breaking of fast at The Square restaurant.
More than 60 traditional delights are featured over three rotating menus.
"Our menu features 20 main courses including ayam kapitan, ikan tenggiri asam pedas, daging masak kicap, ketam goreng and kambing bakar," said Al Muhaimin.
"We offer affordable prices with no compromise on quality," he said.
"We want diners from all walks of life to have a memorable buka puasa experience with their family and friends at our luxurious restaurant."
With 16 years' culinary experience under his belt, Al Muhaimin always ensures that the food is freshly prepared.
Al Muhaimin recommends diners to sample the signature dishes like braised sliced beef with coconut milk and lamb varuval.
"Our restaurant is known for its tender lamb varuval. The lamb is cooked until it is medium well-done, making the lamb chewy and finger-licking good. The taste is also delicious as it combines sweet, sour and spicy," he said.
Those who prefer hot and spicy food should go for lamb Kasturi, a spicier version of lamb varuval.
Ikan tilapia berlada is another not-to-be-missed dish as the gravy is peppery and sweet.
Seafood lovers should also try the sweet and sour prawn.
Among other dishes in the menu are lamb skewers, chicken satay, sotong goreng kunyit, nasi goreng kampung, braised beancurd with black bean sauce and roasted rosemary potatoes.
To complete the dining experience, diners can enjoy traditional desserts like apam gula hangus, sago gula Melaka and seri muka, among others.
The buka puasa promotion, from 6pm to 10pm, is available until Saturday.
The hotel is at 2, Jalan Kia Peng, Kuala Lumpur.
