Ramadan treat:ropicana Golf & Country Resort offers more than 100 choices of local delights
DURING Ramadan month, Tropicana Golf & Country Resort will offer more than 100 dishes of local cuisine.
The buffet dinner will be served at the Coffee House which has been decorated kampung-style.
Live counters will serve creamy fish head curry, Hokkien noodles with choice of vegetables, ayam penyet, nasi kandar and asam pedas steamed fish.
For something lighter, patrons can have the oblong-shaped burgers and apam balik with choice of coconut, chocolate rice or sweet corn fillings.
The must-try food is the yong tau foo, especially for the mackerel fishballs. The chef will prepare and cook it at the counter.
Other popular dishes include barbecued fish, roast whole lamb, ayam percik, satay and prawns.
It is also a chance for those who love gearbox soup to enjoy unlimited amounts of it here. The soup is sweetened from bone marrow after long hours of stewing.
For fried items, the daily changing menu features goreng-goreng stall offering cakoi, cucur udang, vadai, cempedak, keropok lekor, samosas, spring rolls, chicken nuggets, potatoes and kuih kasturi.
Also available are famous Penang fare like fried kuey teow and rojak buah.
Guests can also look forward to festive delights like ketupat and lemang with rendang, meat floss as well as the resort's bubur lambuk.
Those who are sweet-toothed can indulge in kuih, puddings, different flavours of ice-cream, assorted cakes, cookies and dates.
The buffet also caters to vegetarians.
Furthermore, a five-piece Ghazal band will perform evergreen kampung tunes.
The resort provides free and ample parking, with buggy services to shuttle guests from the carpark to the coffee house.
For members, the buffet costs RM68++ for adults and RM35++ for children. Non-members pay RM75++ for adults and RM40++ for children.
