KUALA LUMPUR: Members of the media were treated to a moreh meal in an event called Nur Ramadan hosted by the Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing Ministry recently.

Held at the Sime Darby Convention Centre, it was attended by 400 journalists, editors and photographers.

Moreh is likened to supper normally held after terawih prayers during the holy month.

Its minister Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin said the event,  in  its third year, was  a way of thanking the media for their support and cooperation.

"The ministry expresses its appreciation to the media that have worked hard to give coverage to the Federal Territories, which encompasses Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan.

"This moreh session also helps to strengthen ties between the ministry and the media," he said after handing over Hari Raya goodies to the participants.

Among those present were ministry secretary-general Datuk Adnan Md Ikhsan, Labuan Corporation chief executive officer Zainul Abidin Abdullah and Kampung Bharu Corporation chairman Datuk Astaman Abd Aziz.
