CARING:Magnum sponsors 600 teachers and 400 children for London the Summer Musical
UNDERPRIVILEGED children from 12 welfare homes were treated to a night of fun and music by Magnum Corporation Sdn Bhd.
The 400 children and 600 teachers from Klang Valley were invited by the corporation to enjoy the latest musical show called London The Summer Musical in Sunway Lagoon Amphitheatre.
Magnum Group Corporate Social Responsibility head Beh Swan Swan said West End Musicals were well known for their inspiring performances and extravagant sets.
"This is indeed a wonderful opportunity for the children and teachers and hopefully it will provide the teachers with the inspiration to help bring performing arts to their schools," she said.
Beh added that the teachers could also help to motivate children who have interest and talent in the performing arts to pursue their dreams.
"Magnum's community role is not confined to responding to those who are in need and deserving but also to show appreciation to the people who contribute to the community such as teachers.
"By extending the invitation to the teachers, we are conveying the message that we care for them as they are pivotal in the moulding of the youths of tomorrow," she said.
Magnum also invited its business associates and employees to enjoy the show which narrates the adventure of three American air stewardesses who stopped in London for 48 hours.
The crowd was cheering and singing along to the songs sung during the musical which Magnum sponsored for 2,000 people.
