AYER KEROH: Perak and Kelantan dominated the proceedings in two of the three age categories at the Malaysian Schools Sports Council (MSSM) Sepak Takraw Championships at the Malacca City Council hall recently.

Perak, after beating hosts Malacca in the under-18 team  final, also bagged the individual regu title with a commanding 15-2, 15-12 win over Kelantan in the final to complete their domination of the under-18 age group.

Kelantan were, however, untouchable in the under-15s, which saw them take the team title by beating Kedah in the final and also took the individual regu title with a 15-9, 15-12 win over Terengganu.

The under-12s was a more balanced affair which saw Penang take the team event title with a win against Selangor in the final.

Penang were close to making it a double but were denied by Negri Sembilan in the individual regu final. Negri edged them  11-15, 15-13, 17-16.

Perak emerged champions in both Under-18’s individual regu and team events at the MSSM Sepak Takraw Championships recently.
