KUALA LUMPUR: Prudential Assurance Malaysia Bhd (PAMB) kicked off its 88th anniversary celebration by introducing its Project Listen.
Project Listen is a tribute to Malaysians for their support and inspiring Prudential's innovations.
Chief executive officer of PAMB, Charlie Oropeza, said its customers in Malaysia have been a big part of their success.
"By listening to them, we have learnt amazing stories about their lives which have inspired many of our innovations.
"We would like to dedicate this project to all Malaysians and we hope it will inspire other people," said Oropeza.
There are 18 stories featured in Project Listen which is now available at www.prudential.com.my until October.
Among the stories are about a Chinese who tries to break into the Indian music scene, an ex-prisoner's account of his life behind bars, and uplifting story about a cancer survivor who gives hope to others despite her own condition, and a volunteer who realised the sanctity of lives while volunteering during the Japan's tsunami.
PAMB also encourage the public to share with them interesting or inspiring stories of hope, love, laughter and sorrow.
"It can be either your story or someone else's story. Basically, it is a collection of amazing stories of Malaysians, by Malaysians," he added.
Those who are interested in participating can submit their stories either online, by email or post.

Besides that, Project Listen also allows the public to contribute to a charitable cause by listening to the stories.
By listening to these stories, each time the public share a video or story from Project Listen, Prudential will pledge RM1 to PRUkasih.
PRUkasih is a Corporate Social Responsibilty project which helps to provide financial protection to urban poor families in times of need.
