WATSONS' YOU Awards is back for its fifth season. The main objective of this award is to discover good-looking but conservative Malaysians who have been keeping a low profile.
Exclusively for undergraduates aged between 18 and 25 years old, the contest period ends on July 14.
This time around, the YOU Awards challenges the finalists from all categories on Facebook as well as in terms of community work.
Watsons marketing and development director, Jessica Ng, said this award contest comes with the slogan, It's all about You!
"The contest is organised not only in Malaysia but also by our Hong Kong headquarters," said Ng.
"The contestants need to project their own unique appeal because at Watsons, we believe that all of us have something 'you-nique'."
Ng also said
"It is our duty to help Malaysians identify the beauty inside themselves and get them to confidently share it," she said.
"Social media like Facebook and YouTube will play an important role in the selection of the winners.
"Finalists will have to campaign for their selected brands and themselves to get votes and, at the same time, they will also have to engage in community work to share the secret of health, wellness and beauty with the less fortunate children from selected charity homes."
The contest comprises eight categories which are, namely, Healthy Hair Award (Female), Friendly Face Award (Female), Engaging Eyes Award (Female), Luscious Lips Award (Female), Body Beautiful Award (Female), Friendly Face Award (Male), Hip Hairstyle Award (Male) and Fit Figure Award (Male).
The winner in each category will walk away with RM3,000 in scholarships and product hampers worth RM300.
The winners will also get the opportunity to be on Malaysia's largest lifestyle magazine MYC! News's front cover.
