RICH TASTE:Seafood hogs the limelight at The Apartment Restaurant and Bar at The Curve and KLCC

SEAFOOD takes centre stage at The Apartment Restaurant and Bar at KLCC and The Curve under The Chef Series until end of the month.

The Part 1 of the promotional menu themed "The Unlimited Flavours Of The Ocean" features the culinary flair of its chefs in creating lip-smacking  seafood dishes  for  its diners.

Among the seafood items incorporated into its dishes include oysters, scallops, king prawns, snappers and squid.

To kick-start the meal, gulp down the oyster shot served in a shot glass. It offers fresh oysters in a concoction of lime and mango cubes, a perfect amuse bouche that increases one's appetite.

For appetiser, diners can choose between having the slow braised seafood and fresh tomato soup or the pan-seared scallops, green peas puree and fried sweet potato chips.

Crustacean fans should not miss the king prawns, one of the three main courses offered in the menu.

The prawns are sauteed and served with saffron butter rice and young mango salad.

Fish and squid fans can savour  the pan-fried red snapper with couscous and lemon butter and the baked squid stuffed with herbs rice served with okra and seafood gumbo.

For dessert, there is brulee, a rich custard base topped with a hard layer of burnt caramel, or the buah melaka, a palm sugar dumpling served with coconut ice cream.

Chaswood Resources Sdn Bhd managing director Andrew Reddy said: "The Chef Series features the culinary inclinations and creativity of our chefs. We have chosen 'The Unlimited Flavours Of The Ocean' as the first theme to launch the promotion as seafood is one of the great passions of our head chef Rafizi Shariff.

"Many diners, too, relate a great seafood dinner as the ultimate dining experience," he said.

As there is so much  to experience in seafood and with its endless combination, Andrew said through the themed menu, he hopes to give guests the chance to taste the many delights of the ocean in a relaxed, homely setting at a reasonable price.

Part  1 of the Unlimited Flavours of The Ocean is available daily from 11am  at the KLCC outlet and from 6pm at The Curve.
