UNDER PLANNING: Pulai BN and local authorities look at ways to improve the standard of living for the community

JOHOR BARU: THE  community in Kempas, Johor Baru, may soon see better infrastructure and public facilities  as part of a development plan.

Pulai MP Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed said Pulai Barisan Nasional, together with the local authorities, are planning to improve the Kempas community's standard of living.

"Besides looking into problems related to the resettlement  of former squatters and land compensation, we have to also chart out the development of Kempas.

"This is important so that Kempas is not neglected  as Johor Baru progresses," he said at the city council's Juara Rakyat (People's Champion) programme at the Kempas Community Centre, recently.

Also present were Johor Baru city councillor for Kempas zone and programme committee chairman Abd Rashid Kasman and  deputy Muhamad Muasa.

Nur Jazlan said: "I will let the Johor Baru mayor look into implementing this, which falls under the Johor Baru integrated development plan."

"The Johor Baru integrated development plan has been around for two years. It will involve  rezoning residential and commercial areas in the city," he added.

Meanwhile, Nur Jazlan said  his service centres would continue to look into resolving the squatter resettlement and land compensation issues in the Pulai constituency.

"In Kempas, such issues make-up the bulk of public concerns, which Pulai BN are working to resolve," he said.
