KOTA TINGGI: The Kota Tinggi Rotary Club Dialysis Centre (KTRCDC) recently received a contribution of RM45,000 from Tenggara member of parliament, Datuk Halimah Mohamed Sadique.

The cash, received by KTRCDC's chairman Freddy Leo, will enable the centre to pay for two dialysis machines.

With that, the centre will now have three dialysis machines from the Health Ministry, which was due to efforts by Halimah.

Halimah said she saw the need for the centre to have two additional dialysis machines following a request by the KTRCDC when she visited the premises early this year.

"The centre was in need of the dialysis machines to support the growing number of patients.

"I forwarded the request to Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, who  agreed to contribute for  two machines for the centre," she said after giving out the contributions.

Present  was Kota Tinggi Rotary Club president Allen Tan Swee Meng, Tenggara MCS chief Gan Ong Pin and Tenggara Gerakan chairman Albert Teo.
