GOOD MOVE:KSL City & Resort introduces system to increase public confidence in the safety of their premises

IN keeping with the times, the management of KSL City & Resort, here, recently introduced an Emergency Button System for the benefit of visitors.

KSL City operations manager, Mohd Gunalan Abdullah, said the system was introduced to increase the confidence of visitors and improve on the safety of the premises.

He said a total of 21 buttons have been employed around the building, with four units in the basement car park and the others at Level Three, Four, Five and Six of the building.

"The security guards will monitor all the locations where the buttons are located through the building's close circuit television cameras which run around-the-clock from the main control centre.

"Besides that, there will also be regular patrols to monitor vehicle theft, car break-ins, snatch thefts and acts of vandalism," said Mohd Gunalan after launching the Emergency Button System at the mall-cum-hotel.

Mohd Gunalan said KSL City & Resort's management has taken this initiative to look into the security and safety aspects of visitors within their building, at exit points and also at the car park bays.

He said this initiative will hopefully maintain the security aspects of the premises and also enhance the rapport with the Johor Baru Selatan district police.

Meanwhile, deputy Johor Baru Selatan police chief Superintendent Abdul Samad Salleh lauded the resort's management for introducing the Emergency Button System.

"This is a good move to ensure the safety of visitors, especially when they are out with their families," he said.

"The relationship between the Johor Baru Selatan district police and KSL City & Resort has been good since they started operations this year.

"We have regular patrols within the area."
