JOHOR BARU: A factory worker was found fatally slashed with a sharp object after he was allegedly attacked by six Vietnamese, including two of his housemates, near Taman Senai Baru here, on Tuesday night.

Kulaijaya district police chief  Supt Zulkefly Yahya said the incident happened at Jalan Padi Mahsuri 2 at about 11.30pm.

The deceased Low Kwang Kean, 41, and his Vietnamese wife, 30, were in the rented house when Low's assailants arrived together with the two housemates.

Zulkefly said one of the men had asked Low for money before an argument broke out.

"The suspect was then seen running out of the house, followed by five others.  After the suspects had left, Low's wife managed to untie herself and found her husband dead in the room with slash wounds on his neck.

"Police have yet to find the murder weapon.  Preliminary investigations revealed that the six suspects had run off with RM10,000, a gold chain, a pair of earrings and six handphones," he said.

Police are looking for three Vietnamese --  Nguyen Trong Phuong, Tuan Anh and  Ho Chong Trong -- to assist in investigations.

Anyone with information can call the nearest police station.
