JOHOR BARU: Five Indonesian women who were busy entertaining their clients were detained by the Immigration Department during a raid at a massage centre in Jalan Serampang, here, recently.

The women, aged between 34 and 43, were nabbed during the raid that was conducted following a  tip off.

Johor Immigration Department's deputy assistant director Khairul Anuar Abu Bakar said four of the women did not have valid travel documents while the other had abused her social visit pass.

"During the raid, the women were busy entertaining their clients and did not notice our presence."

"They were shocked when we identified ourselves, and did not even try to run," he said.

Khairul said the women claimed that their documentation  were handled by their employer.

"However, their 51-year-old employer said that she deals with an agent to handle the permits for her foreign workers.

"She claimed that she paid between RM500 and RM1,000 for each worker but the agent could not be contacted and is believed to be on the run.

"The employer was also detained to help in the investigations," said Khairul.

All five foreign women were sent to the Pekan Nanas Immigration Detention Centre.
