PASIR GUDANG: More than 400 adults and children took part in the recent "Sukan Mesra Rakyat" organised by Taman Kota Masai Zone 2 residents.

Pasir Gudang Municipal Council (MPPG) president On Jabbar launched the games by kicking off the tug-of-war event.

There were more than a dozen games.

"The games included musical chairs, lawn bowls, treasure hunt, football and darts," said Abdul Aziz Yusof, a 39-year-old resident.

Another resident, Bahaman Baharom, 45, who finished third in the  dart games in the adult category, said:   "I took home a medal and  certificate for my efforts."

Bahaman said the event had been a good opportunity for   residents to get to know each other better.

Mohd Amin Fakrul, 17, who took part in a carom competition  said he had been  interested in the game since  Form One because it was a game of strategy.
