GOAL:English Language Conference is aimed at improving the language proficiency of teachers
MORE than 350 English Language teachers are expected to attend the three-day English Language Conference held at M Suites Hotel here from June 12 to 14.
The conference entitled "Revitalising the teaching-learning link" is co-organised by the Johor Baru English Language Teaching association (JELTA) and Johor Education Department.
The conference will serve as a platform for teachers to gain insights into innovative ideas that can be incorporated while teaching English in schools.
M Suites is the main sponsor of the conference. The hotel is sponsoring this event as part of its corporate social responsibility programme that are normally centred around education.
M Suites executive director Datin Dr Maimunah Abdul Rahman, who is passionate about education and believes learning is a life-long journey, said, "Education is not limited only to the students, it is also applicable to the educators who should keep abreast with the latest teaching aids, strategies and technology."
She said the collaboration with JELTA and the state education department is aimed at improving the language proficiency among teachers and educators.
M Suites Hotel, which has over 133 comfortable and spacious suites, is the preferred choice of the venue for the conference as it is strategically located in Johor Baru's business and shopping centres.
