GOOD RESPONSE:Pinetree Hotel in Batu Pahat is having its Ramadan buffet promotion with more dishes this year

THE response to its Ramadan buffet last year was so good that Pinetree Hotel in Batu Pahat is repeating some of the dishes this year, plus adding more  to the buffet as well.

Some 100 dishes are available in the spread which includes kampung-style dishes, Peranakan cuisine, as well as seafood and barbecued dishes.

The buffet, which will be served at Pinetree Cafe, will also feature a whole roast lamb and other Western dishes, as well as a selection of popular desserts.

"On weekends, we will also have zapin and asli song performances to entertain our patrons as they enjoy their buka puasa,"  said Pinetree Hotel general manager Stephen Teo.

He said this is the second time that the hotel is offering a Ramadan buffet since it was opened in January last year.

"Last year, the response to our Ramadan buffet was very encouraging, so this year we are offering more dishes to satisfy all of our patrons," said Teo.

The buffet is priced at RM50 for adults, and RM28 for children aged between 3 and 12, and is available from 6pm to 10pm. The promotion  ends on Aug 16.

The Pinetree Cafe has a seating capacity  of 120,  although the hotel can accommodate large group bookings by converting one of its meeting rooms into a dining room.

The Pinetree Hotel is a three-star hotel with 120 rooms, as well as facilities such as a ballroom and three meeting rooms.

It is owned by the Tiong Nam Group of Companies.

"We are a three-star hotel that offers four-star facilities and services. This is the first hotel under the group, and we have plans to expand to other locations, especially  in Johor," added Teo.

The hotel also caters for weddings, seminars and meetings with its ballroom being able to accommodate up to 350 people.

The hotel is also strategically located near the industrial areas of Tongkang Pechah, Seri Gading and Parit Raja.
