    Silka Johor Bahru hosts durian feast for guests

    JOHOR BARU: In conjunction with the ongoing durian season, Silka Johor Bahru recently held a fun-filled durian party for its guests, corporate partners and members of the media at its Kapitan Corner.

      Representatives of Kosmopolito Hotels International (KHI) and Silka Johor Bahru, including KHI senior vice-president of sales and marketing Philip Schaetz and KHI area general manager Christina Toh were present to join in the fun and festivities.

      Besides enjoying the tasty Malaysian-grown durians provided by the Federal Agriculture Marketing Authority (FAMA), there were hamper giveaways by Dutch Lady, Count The Number Of Dodol and Guess The Durians' Weight contests, as well as lucky draws comprising of free hotel stays at Silka Johor Bahru, Grand Dorsett Subang and Grand Dorsett Labuan.

      In continuing with the current king of fruits festivities in the state, Silka Johor Bahru will be presenting a Durian Feast High-Tea Buffet from July 7 to  8 at Kapitan Corner from 2pm to 6pm. The price is  RM55 nett (adult) and RM30 nett (child).

      From the fruit itself to durian cheese cake, durian bread and butter pudding, wajik durian, dodol durian, pulut putih durian, serawa durian, bubur cha cha durian, and many more durian specialities, Kapitan Corner is the place for durian lovers.

      Silka Johor Bahru is also offering a Durian Fest Package for S$95 nett (RM237) which includes overnight accommodation in a deluxe room, complimentary breakfast for two adults and two children below 10 years old, two Durian Fest High-Tea vouchers for either July 7 or 8, and complimentary shuttle bus service to Johor Premium Outlets.
