PASSION FOR PERFECTION:The bakery makes sure all its products are made from ingredients of the highest quality

AS its name suggests, So.Lo.Ve Bakery House takes passion and pride in its products.

Whether it's homemade cakes, pastries, pizza buns or  ice-cream cupcakes, the bakery makes sure they are made from ingredients of  the highest quality.

Managed by 26-year-old Danny Lim, the bakery features an array of breads, pastries, cakes and  other desserts that caters to suit people of all tastes.

The bakery is at Taman Nusa Bestari, which is within the main residential and commercial areas of Johor Baru Utara district, bordering Bukit Indah, Bandar Uda Utama and Taman Perling.

Lim, who is the sole proprietor, is assisted by his 27-year-old girlfriend Sharon Ng at the bakery which opens from 9am to 9pm.

"This is my first venture in starting my own business which opened about a month ago.

"I always see to it that my products are freshly made to ensure that quality is maintained," he said.

For Lim, who has six years of prior experience working in a bakery, quality is an important factor as it will ensure that one's customer base is ensured.

In addition,  he said cleanliness and having fresh ingredients are also a must.

The bakery offers several unique items apart from regular bakery shop products.

Among them are the Japanese-inspired Osaka pizza and its luscious ice-cream cupcakes.

The items are also competitively priced.

The pastries and buns cost from RM2.20, while the cakes are priced at RM38.

Lim, who is still new to  running his own business, said managing his  business  is not  easy.

"It is definitely hard work, but it is also satisfying," he said.

The professionally-trained baker said  owning a business means putting in more effort and passion to make it successful.

He said that he spent about RM70,000 alone on baking equipment prior to opening his outlet.

Lim, who is from Kulaijaya in Johor, said he chose to open his first outlet here as he  thinks there is a big market for specialised bakeries such as his.

"The concept, and even the name of my outlet, will hopefully attract the younger crowd  in the vicinity," he said.

At present, Lim said he has no plans to open another outlet as he  already has his hands full managing his new bakery.

Those in the mood for some comfort food can visit So.Lo.Ve Bakery House at 15-G Jalan Bestari 5/2 in Taman Nusa Bestari.
