    The press bring cheer to old folk

    JOHOR BARU: The Johor Baru Journalists and Photographers Club hosted a buka puasa treat for 30 residents of Nur Ehsan Old Folk's Home at KFCH International College in Bandar Dato Onn, here, recently.

      The event was part of the club's social projects to reach out to the less fortunate.

      The residents were treated to a spread of buka puasa delicacies and presented with duit raya by the club and a goodie bag each, courtesy of Nahar Power Sdn Bhd.

      Club president Mohamad Fauzi Ishak said he was grateful for the the club committee's efforts to organise such a meaningful event in the holy month of Ramadan.

      "Despite our heavy schedule at our respective workplaces, I am proud we still managed to find time to bring joy to old folk.

      "This is exactly the spirit of Ramadan. It is my hope that such an activity will be part of the club's annual calender," he said.

     Nur Ehsan Old Folk's Home president Md Sharipin Shahlan thanked the club for its thoughtfulness.

      He said the old folk enjoyed the food and appreciated the duit raya and goodie bag.
