JOHOR BARU: Over 100 pupils of SK Princess Elizabeth, a school for the visually-impaired in Taman Nong Chik, here, were treated to a generous "buka puasa" meal by Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB).

Gifts and aid were also presented to the children aged from 7 to 12 to help them celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

The event was organised by TNB's Women's and Muslim Workers' Associations.

TNB Johor general manager Datuk  Mohd Aminuddin Mohd Amin said TNB would not neglect the needy, especially during Ramadan.

"This programme is in keeping with our motto 'Menyinari Kehidupan Anda'. We hope to be able to give something back to the community," said Aminuddin.

He said he was amazed by the conviction shown by the students who were working hard to study in the school in order to improve their lives.

"Being blind did not deter them from reading the Quran and learning in class."
