GEORGE TOWN: The teaching staff of KDU College Penang were treated to a Teachers Day buffet lunch.

Principal Dr Chong Beng Keok said the lunch gathering was to show appreciation for the teaching staff's devotion to their students and their contribution to society's development.

She said KDU lecturers did more than teaching, as they had for years worked to inspire their students to excel in the classroom and industry, and to discover their full potential.

"We just want to say a big thank you to our teachers for helping the college produce some of the best graduates in the country for over 21 years," she said.

Many KDU students gave their lecturers gifts, flowers, cards and poems to express their gratitude. By Looi Sue-Chern
