FIVE STARS: Besides great location and facilities, the hotel is also offering a ‘buka puasa’ promotion

GEORGE TOWN: THE Evergreen Laurel Hotel Penang  is the only one in Malaysia under the Taiwan-based Evergreen Group.

Located along the popular tourist belt of Gurney Drive, the five-star hotel has a total of 368 rooms.

Its rooms are fitted with the latest LCD television sets, mini bars, coffee and tea making facilities and Wi-Fi. Room categories range from superior and deluxe to executive suites, deluxe executive suites and Evergreen suites.

Live entertainment is available at the Lobby Lounge while the Café Laurel and Evergarden Chinese Restaurant are among the food and beverage outlets at the hotel. Other facilities include a health club and swimming pool.

General manager Vincent Chiang said the hotel is ideally situated away from the congestion of the city, yet minutes from the thriving business district and within walking distance of shops, food outlets and tourist attractions.

For the fasting month, the Ramadan buka puasa promotion is available from today until Aug 18, offering a wide variety of local and Western cuisine.

The buffet is available from Sundays to Thursdays at RM60++ for adults and RM30++ for children.

On Fridays and Saturdays, it is priced at RM72++ (adults) and RM36++ (children).

For every group booking of 10 people, a discount of 25 per cent is available while for group bookings of 50 people and above, a discount of 30 per cent is offered.

The sahur menu promotion is also available and is priced at RM20++. Each child aged 12 years or below can dine for free when accompanied by one paying adult.
