GEORGE TOWN A seven-piece show band from the Philippines is performing at the Hard Rock Cafe in Batu Ferringhi until August.

Tiempo (which means time) was formed five years ago.

They perform a wide repertoire, including songs from the Top 40s to classic rock, covers of Kenny G, songs by Lady Gaga, Adele, Queen and ACDC from the 1960s and 1970s.

Band member Danny Morris Javar Maputol plays the saxophone and is a capable vocalist.

The others are Ricardo "Ricky" Aguilar (lead vocalist), Arielle Anne Marise Fanega Hizo (lead vocalist), Kent Michael Angelo Maderazo (drummer), Dino Angelo Garcia Jaena (keyboardist), Segundino 'Boboy' Biliran Jr (lead guitarist) and Oliver Pasumbal (bassist).

All three frontline vocalists create a good connection with the crowd, backed by the seasoned musicians.

"It's all about moving in rhythm among our band members and connecting with the crowd," said Aguilar, who is also the band leader.

Hard Rock Hotel Penang's general manager John Primmer said Hard Rock Cafe Penang would continue to offers quality music and entertainment.
