LANGKAWI: Langkawi will host the Langkawi International Construction Showcase (Laicos) 2012, which is among the largest construction trade shows, from Nov 16 to 18.
Organised by Premier Builder Showcase International (M) Sdn Bhd and managed by SNIF Sdn Bhd in collaboration with Langkawi Development Authority (Lada), the event will be held at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre, Padang Matsirat here.
Lada chief executive officer Tan Sri Khalid Ramli said Laicos 2012 offers business and networking platform for industry leaders around the world to showcase their products and services.
He said Laicos 2012 aimed to promote Langkawi as Asia's business event hub, in line with the government's effort to promote the hosting of major exhibitions in the country.
"It's actually one of the biggest business event, if not the biggest," he said.
"Through this event, we hope to promote Langkawi as a hub not only for leisure but also for business.
"This is the first time such an event is being held outside Kuala Lumpur."
