GEORGE TOWN: Guests danced the night away during the Malaysian-German Society's (MGS) Sommernachtsball at the E&O Hotel here recently.

Sommernachtsball is commonly held in Germany to celebrate the start of summer.

Guests were treated to a sumptuous five-course set dinner before being entertained by dancers from Greenapple Ballet Academy.

The floor was later opened to all to dance. Among those present were MGS director Stephan Doege.

MGS, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in early May, is a social centre for German expatriates living in Penang.
