SERI MANJUNG: The Manjung Municipal Council hosted a grand dinner for its president, Zamri Man, who was recently conferred the Datuk Paduka Mahkota Perak (DPMP) award, which carries the title "Datuk".

About 350 guests attended the dinner held at the Municipal Council complex here last month.

Zamri made history by being the first council president in the district to receive the DPMP award while still in office.

The dinner was also held to celebrate all those who had helped the Manjung Municipal Council to become the first district in Perak to be awarded a four-star rating from the National Star Rating System of 2010/2011.

A joint cake-cutting ceremony  with special guests and councillors was also held to mark the occasion.

Also present were Orang Besar Jajahan Manjung Datuk Ab Wahab Azizul Hassan and Manjung district officer Zamari Mohd Ramli. By Peter Nunis
