GEORGE TOWN: Shop and win a trip to see Rome, Florence, Milan, Venice and the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Tuscany. It is that simple.

For this year's 1Malaysia Mega Sale Carnival, Queensbay Mall, here, is going Italian.

Shoppers have the chance to win the grand prize of a 10-day vacation in Italy for two worth RM20,000 in the "It's All About Italy!" contest.

Shoppers only have to spend RM100 in a single receipt from any outlet in the mall to take part in the contest from now until Sept 2.

Other prizes include Samsonite luggage, bags from the latest Italian-inspired Bonia collection, and Dome meal vouchers.

The mall is also giving away evening purses to shoppers using MasterCards.

The carnival's activities will start from July 1 with the "My Funny Moment with the Leaning Tower" photo contest for adults and children. All entries must be submitted to lim.bh@queensbaymall.my by Sept 2.

There is the "Little Venice Princess" competition on July 21, and the "Venus Search" Hot Lips photo contest on July 28 for women and girls looking to show off their fashion sense and modelling talent.

The "hottest lips" will win expensive 'bling' from Habib Jewel.

For creative minds, there are the longest pasta decorating and Mona Lisa colouring contests on Aug 11 and Aug 25, respectively.

Other activities include the exclusive Fashion High-Tea for top spenders at KAPPA (July 14), Lacoste (Aug 4) and Jurlique Skincare (Aug 14).

The sale carnival will be "fashionably" launched in Italian style on July 11.

The main atrium will have a live-sized Colosseum with gladiators.

Dancers will perform a Venetian-style masquerade and models will take to the catwalk like Roman goddesses draped in the latest Italian collections from Habib Jewels, Prada, Rayban, Gucci, Bonia and more.
