IPOH: Malaysian Indian policemen in the state celebrated the 206th Police Day in a traditional manner with their families, representatives from non-governmental organisations and community leaders here recently.

Thanksgiving prayers were held at the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple before dinner at the temple's hall.

A special prayer was also held for those who were killed in the line of duty in Lahad Datu.

Present at the celebrations were state deputy police chief Assistant Commissioner Datuk A. Paramasivam, state police chief Datuk Mohd Shukri Dahlan and Malaysia Warriors Association president Datuk R.Thambipillay.
