    YMCI adds colour to students' lives

    IPOH: Some 70 students of kindergartens, schools, including an international school, and residents of homes, here, took part in a colouring competition organised by Y's Men's Club of Ipoh (YMCI).

    IPOH: Some 70 students of kindergartens, schools, including an international school, and residents of homes, here, took part in a colouring competition organised by Y's Men's Club of Ipoh (YMCI).

    The competition was divided into three categories  -- A for ages 4 to 7, B for ages 8 to 11 and C for ages 12 to 15.

      Four special children from Praise Emmanuel Children's Home in Buntong received special prizes at the event  at the YMCA Hall, here.

      Club patron and guest-of-honour Datin Jenny Thong Kok Yoon praised the club for organising the competition annually  as part of its community service project.  She presented the prizes to the winners.

      Thong sponsored the lunch packs and some of the consolation prizes. The youngsters also participated in games organised by McDonald's staff.

      The top three Category A winners were Mohd Haikal Ashraf Kamal, Yan Pui Tse and Foong Yan Qi, respectively.

    The category B winners were Grace Wong Jing Wan, Jeyanthi Jayarajah and Gyeth John Ojur Dennis, respectively; category C winners were T. Suresh, Patrick Paul and R. John, respectively.

      YMCI project and finance director K. Letchimanan said the club would be holding a Speaker's Forum at the YMCA Hall on Saturday. By P. Chandra Sagaran
