SRT-EON Security completes 40pct stake acquisition from EON valued at RM16mil

KUALA LUMPUR: SRT-EON Security Services Sdn Bhd has completed the 40 per cent stake of the company held by Edaran Otomobil Nasional Bhd (EON) for RM16 million.

With this acquisition, SRT-EON managing director Rafiq Rahmat and his siblings' now own 100 per cent in the family-owned company.

"This will strengthening Rafiq's position in the company, enabling him to streamline the company to greater heights," it said.

Rafiq said SRT-EON's expertise has allowed the company to provide security services for its clients and ranked top five among 1,000 security companies in the country.

"Our competitive advantages include brand name recognition, reputation for quality, logistics expertise, financial strength, state-of-the-art infrastructure, highly-skilled and trained security officers as well as a large customer base throughout the whole country.

"We believe these qualities complement our effort to meet our customers' needs and SRT-EON will continue to operate under the same name," said Rafiq.

Meanwhile, in terms of partnerships and collaborations, Rafiq said SRT-EON is in talks with new partners and continues to seek new collaborations.

He said the company is exploring opportunities especially in the digital era with the use of technology including secured Covid-19 vaccine delivery, drones, SMART cash-in-transit, SMART cash management, surveillance/tracking system, artificial intelligence and on-demand automated teller machines (ATM).

"We will continue changing the way we lead and leading the way we change by delivering quality services in not just the security industry but in everything we do, which has been our goal since we first started," he added.
