T7 bags RM100mil contracts

KUALA LUMPUR: T7 Global Bhd has clinched two contracts worth a combined RM100 million under its energy division for recruitment and manpower services and offshore construction services.

The energy solutions provider said the first contract was from PTTEP Group of Companies for the provision of headhunting and recruitment services.

The second was from Hibiscus Oil & Gas Malaysia Ltd to provide facilities decommissioning services for South Angsi Alpha.

T7 group chief executive officer Tan Kay Zhuin said since fully acquiring T7IR in 2021, the company had secured multiple manpower contracts from similar energy producers.

"We are optimistic that the manpower segment will continue to grow in the region. The Hibiscus award marks an important milestone for the company to execute offshore facility decommissioning projects of such scale," Tan said in a statement today.

"There is initiative for Rig-to-Reef by converting the structures into artificial reef to enhance the marine habitat at the intended location.

"We see this as a sustainable approach for oil and gas operators moving forward which can contribute to their environmental, social and governance (ESG) agenda. Over the next few years, we will be on the lookout for more ESG related projects in the region," he added.

T7 said the projects would contribute to the company's earnings and net assets for the next two years.
