Hong Kong-based caviar producer TWG enters Malaysia, Singapore markets

KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Kong-based Top Wealth Group (International) Ltd (TWG), a premier caviar producer, has entered Southeast Asia by penetrating the Malaysian and Singaporean markets.

TWG has distributed its products, namely its flagship brand, Imperial Cristal Caviar, to Malaysian high-end food merchants at Shucked Oyster and Seafood Bars and restaurants like My Humble House Yakiniku & Shabu Shabu at Subang Jaya.

The company will continue to further expand their product line into high-end food merchants, five-star hotels, and fine-dining restaurants in Malaysia and Singapore.

TWG chief executive officer Chong Yik Chung said entering Malaysia, and Singapore marks a pivotal moment for the company as this is its first step in establishing itself in Southeast Asia.

"We are committed to providing our products with the highest quality to this new market.

"From sourcing to packaging, our products were monitored closely to ensure that every bite of our caviar is a luxurious experience for the consumers," he said in a statement today.

Caviar, a luxury delicacy made from roe of sturgeon fish, has a rich history of being enjoyed by food connoisseurs worldwide.

In its commitment to delivering exceptional quality and taste to discerning customers, TWG has established strong ties with sturgeon farms in Mainland China to secure high-quality caviar on a long-term basis.

According to Absolute Reports, the total caviar market size was US$305 million in 2020 and is expected to grow by a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.3 per cent to US$530 million by 2027.

While the American and European continents are the major markets for caviar, the demand for caviar in the Asia-Pacific region is also growing.

"This is not just a business opportunity but a chance to captivate a new audience with our caviar's rich taste and quality.

"We believe our product will be well received by Malaysians and Singaporeans alike," Chong said.

TWG was established in Hong Kong in 2009 and diversified into the caviar business in 2021.

Since then, the company registered Imperial Cristal Caviar as a house brand and entered into the Hong Kong, Singapore, North America, Mainland China and Europe market with high-quality 12 years and 15 years caviar products.
