Mitsubishi enhances mobile application

KUALA LUMPUR: Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has made enhancements to the Mitsubishi Connect MY mobile application.

It now allows Mitsubishi owners to drop their cars at the service centre and continue to wait remotely as the app provides service status notifications of their vehicle and when it is ready for collection.

Additionally, it will keep owners informed about their upcoming service cost estimation and warranty details on top of road tax and insurance renewal reminders through app notification.

Lastly, owners can request roadside assistance service in a breakdown or accident using the SOS Trace & Track feature by tapping on the 'SOS' function on the app - the user's location can be tracked accurately using a GPS locator and its details will be verified by a customer service personnel from Mitsubishi Motors to send help immediately.

"The pandemic has created great demands on us as a society and despite the challenges; it also allowed us to be more resilient and agile in this new digital technology environment," said MMM chief executive officer Tomoyuki Shinnishi.

"Besides technology on improving customer's convenience, the safety of our customers and staff is also our utmost priority.

"We want to assure our customers that we are engaging with them through a seamless journey from purchase to ownership in a safe environment with the enhancements of the Mitsubishi Connect MY mobile app together with the Mitsubishi Online Showroom."

The mobile app already enables Mitsubishi owners to book a service appointment, receive service appointment reminders and check service histories.

Other useful functions of the app include staying in touch with the Mitsubishi Assist 24Hrs customer careline (MA24). Owners can also access to a 24-Hour breakdown assistance throughout Malaysia as well as emergency services should the situation arises.

The app can also be used to locate the nearest Mitsubishi authorised dealer showroom and service centres with dealer information and navigation sync with the app to help get customers to the dealer of their choice or convenience.

Owners can also stay up to date with Mitsubishi's latest promotions, news, and events, search for product information and download e-brochures from the app.

Mitsubishi says its emphasis to strengthen digital technology continues to be one of the company's efforts to offer comprehensive customer-centric online strategies for the safety and convenience of its customers during this pandemic.
