KUALA LUMPUR: Oppo has announced its latest Reno series, the Oppo Reno6 Pro in Malaysia today.
According to Oppo, the phone is desined to excell in photo and video areas. It has a feature called "Portrait Videos" that provides bokeh effects in portraits photos, and also the "AI Highlight Video" feature for users to record professional-like portrait videos,
The phone comes with the IMX766 sensor that was co-developed by Oppo and Sony, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, the Oppo Reno Glow finis, and the ColorOS11.
Video features
The Oppo Reno6 Pro features a 50 megapixel AI quad camera matrix at the rear and a front 32 megapixel selfie camera. It also has the Sony IMX766 sensor behind the main camera.
The 1/1.6 inch sensor features the DOL-HDR technology, an all-pixel omni focus for consistently high-quality video recording experience.
Besides that, it has a colour temperature sensor to capture more accurate colours and other AI-enhanced portrait video functions.
One of the functions includes the Bokeh Flare Portrait Video that gives off a cinematic bokeh effect for videos.
The feature also lets users capture portrait photos with bokeh light spots in the background while keeping the subjects natural and bright.
This feature is available on the front and rear cameras and the effect can be applied with just a tap.
Next, is the AI Highlight Video feature that automatically detects ambient light according to video optimisation.
Whether in broad daylight or at night, the AI Highlight Video is enhanced by DOL-HDR and lets you take clearer and brighter.
The Reno6 Pro has a Focus Tracking feature for users to auto-focus their videos to identify the main subject and track it steadily and consistently.
The Flash Snapshot lets users take clear shots of moving objects and provide tools like AI Palette to enhance their images in a click.
Design
Bearing a resemblance to its Reno Series predecessors, the Reno6 Pro is slim and lightweight, at 7.99mm thick and 288g.
It also has a Reno Glow design and is available in Arctic Blue and Lunar Grey.
The new Reno6 Pro's Arctic Blue comes in with the Oppo Reno Glow design that was inspired by the snow's crystallisation at a freezing point.
Ultimately, it's as if there are millions of shimmering "snowflakes" on the class cover that flicker depending on the light and shade.
The phone features a 6.5-inch 3D curved display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate for a smooth viewing experience.
For better quality visuals, the display is HDR10+ certified and has 260 degree Light Sensing capabilities that improve auto-brightness adjustments for varying lighting conditions.
It is aslo Netflix HD/HDR and Amazon Prime Video HD/HDR certified for great content quality and SGS-certified for the screen to prevent eye strain.
Hardware
The Oppo Reno6 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G Mobile platform with a Kryo 585 CPU that can operate at up to 3.2GHz.
It is equipped with 12GB of RAM and Oppo's RAM Expansion technology where some of the ROM storage can be converted into RAM space when the feature is turned on.
The original RAM can be expanded with an additional 3GB/5GB/7GB of memory.
Reno has also added a 31.68 cm² Ultra-large Vapour Chamber with only 0.4mm thick. This cools the device while being thin.
Featuring a 4500mAh battery and 65W SuperVOOC 2.0, it can be fully charged in only 30 minutes.
The X-axis Linear Motor is also included with gaming features such as Quick Startup and Game Focus Mode for a real-life-like gaming experience.
In addition, it has a Colour OS 11.3 for a relaxing experience with a System Booster for a smooth experience throughout the user's time using the smartphone.
