#TECH: Lenovo announces ThinkVision displays ahead of CES 2022

KUALA LUMPUR: Just weeks before CES 2022, Lenovo announced a new line-up of ThinkVision large format displays (LFD).

Designed for meeting rooms as well as learning spaces, the ThinkVision series offer effective collaboration for in-room and remote sessions thanks to its 4K displays, integrated whiteboard software with writing experience, built-in speakers, microphones, and a modular webcam for smarter video conferencing.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The ThinkVision LFD comes in three dimensions—86-, 75- and 65-inch to cater to different needs. However, all ThinkVision LFD displays feature the same technical specifications.

As part of the company's commitments to improve energy efficiency, the ThinkVision line-up is equipped with a human presence sensor where it will save more energy by automatically turning display on only when user presence is detected and will turn off once all participants have left the space. It also has an ambient light sensor which adapts brightness to suit room conditions.

Powered by a high-performance system-on-chip (SoC) with embedded Android operating system, the displays feature a simple graphical user interface to access the most common functions and applications with 4G RAM and 64GB Flash memory combination.

Furnished with multiple input and output ports including USB Type-C, USB 3.0, HDMI, DisplayPort, Ethernet, Serial interface, and Audio.

To make presentations easier, users can present on screen directly from the embedded software or from a PC device through a wired connection with video cable or wireless connection with the W20 wireless dongle.

The displays' support a modular webcam connected via a cableless USB connector which is secured by an anti-theft screw, and includes a lens shutter as well as privacy light.

Visual is not the only important factor in a presentation, meetings or during lessons, audio too. Understanding the need for clear audio, each display comes with two 15-Watt speakers and built-in 8-array microphone which will ensure that no voice goes unheard.

The 8-array microphone and the 4K AI-enhanced webcam with 122-degree field of view and four times digital zoom guarantees that everyone will be seen, which is further enhanced by the voice tracking function to focus on the speaker.

All the ThinkVision LFD line-up will be available from April 2022.
