KUALA LUMPUR: E-hailing service by Airasia Super App, Airasia ride, launched a new feature - Community Drivers on its platform today to cater to different passenger needs with the LadiesONLY Driver community.
Airasia super app chief executive officer, Amanda Woo, in a statement said that the company is always looking for ways to innovate and provide a better and personalised experience for both users as well as their drivers and riders and the new feature was developed to cater to the different needs.
"We understand that passengers of airasia ride have different needs, and we are confident that the Community Drivers feature, starting with LadiesONLY rides will appeal to our existing airasia ride users and attract new ones. We are looking forward to welcoming our millionth passenger soon as we add more Community Drivers categories on our ride-hailing platform."
The LadiesONLY community will give female passengers the option to choose female drivers, and vice versa for a more comfortable ride and is available under the "Ride" option.
Airasia ride will also sponsor first time female drivers without prior e-hailing experience or without an e-hailing licences who wish to join the team who. Part of the benefits include fee exemptions for PSV learning courses and exams as well as free medical check-ups. At the same time, all active and new female drivers will also receive a free dashboard camera (terms and conditions apply) too.

Our new Community Drivers feature gives a fresh twist to your everyday commute," said Airasia ride regional CEO, Lim Chiew Shan.
Aside from the LadiesONLY, airasia ride will be introducing several other categories under the new feature including PriorityRide—where passengers will enjoy shorter waiting times and have their orders fulfilled by top-rated drivers; Joy in the ride—a fun and surprise-filled ride; DriveForMe—a driver service where the driver will drive your vehicle for you; and QuietDriver—a quiet and peaceful ride throughout your journey.

To celebrate the Women's Day, Airasia ride also shared that the company will donate all proceeds (excluding driver's commission fee) from LadiesONLY rides between March 8 and April 7, 2022 to the women communities in need through Women's Aid Organisation (WAO).
