KUALA LUMPUR: Poco announced the global launch of Poco F4 and Poco X4 GT, the latest devices with best-in-class chipsets, yet budget-friendly.
The Poco F4 offers all the strengths of a flagship smartphone with efficient power consumption. Powered by the Snapdragon 870 flagship processor, the F4 now holds the brand's highest frequency prime core capability.
The Poco X4 GT on the other hand, is an affordable performance speedster optimised for efficient and smoother performance and equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset.
"Poco's flagship products have always required best-in-class performance on all fronts, and as we present the Poco F4 and Poco X4 GT, we're confident that we've achieved just that. We are excited to venture forward with the Snapdragon 870 and MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipsets," said Poco Global head of product marketing Angus Ng, adding that the company's flagship experience includes meeting the highest standards while still maintaining competitive affordability.
FLAGSHIP STRENGTHS
The Poco F4's Snapdragon 870 flagship chipset features a 7nm processor with 5G support. Its prime core is running at 3.2GHz, the highest for Poco.
With LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 ROM, the F4 promises faster data access, great for multitasking between demanding applications. It also has LiquidCool Technology 2.0.
The F4 is the thinnest model in the Poco lineup to date with a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED screen, and an ultra-tiny 2.76mm DotDisplay—one of the tiniest in the industry. Its flagship-level display features 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate for lower response latency and the screen's peak brightness is 1,300 nits for detailed, high-contrasting visuals.
The Poco F4 sports a triple rear camera setup featuring the first-ever addition of optical image stabilisation (OIS) on the device's 64MP main camera for clearer and sharp photos even in low light. Poco also promises near-perfect digital replicas of the moments captured with this upgrade.
Accompanying the 64MP main camera is an 8MP ultra-wide camera and 2MP macro camera. Poco F4's 4K-equipped camera setup comes with tons of fun and convenient features, including Panoramic Selfie mode, Night mode, AI Skyscaping 4.0 and AI Erase 2.0.
The phone comes with a 4,500mAh (typ) battery and 67W turbo charging and is said to only need 38 minutes to reach full charge, which translates to 21 hours of video playback. The device utilises Middle Middle Tab (MMT) technology, a method of fast charging that circuits electric currents into two split directions for improved charging speed and stability, sustaining highest level performance stretched over longer periods of time.
PERFORMANCE GAMING AND ENTERTAINMENT
The new Poco X4 GT carries the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset and advanced TSMC 5nm processor for a promise of low power consumption and heat management.
The X4 GT also offers flagship-level LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 ROM with LiquidCool Technology 2.0 cooling system that keeps the SoC cool allowing greater performance push.
This device features Poco's first innovative 20.5:9 LCD display ratio for a comfortable grip and easy to hold.
Aiming to offer the best LCD in the market, the X4 GT comes with Poco's first LCD True Display. The display colour temperature adjustment is
contingent upon external environmental light conditions, allowing comfortable viewing. To provide a comfortable viewing experience, this phone enables hardware-level harmful blue light reduction by up to 30 per cent.
Boasting a whopping 5,080mAh (typ) high-density battery, the phone is made for entertainment consumption. Its 67W turbo charging capacity allows the phone to reach 100 per cent charge in just 46 minutes.
During the virtual launch event, Poco said, based on testings the company conducts prior to the launch, in just six minutes the phone can be charged up to 25 per cent, and after 30 minutes it will juiced-up to 85 per cent. Aided by the Middle Middle Tab (MMT) technology, it enables the X4 GT users to game for more than 90 minutes with just 10 minutes of charging.
Sporting a versatile triple rear camera setup and Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, the Poco X4 GT doubles as a 4K camera with convenient features.
Featuring a 64MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, and 2MP macro camera, the phone also comes with a 16MP front camera.
Keeping its promise as an all entertainment device, the X4 GT comes with 19 stellar vlog templates pre-installed, as well as Drafts function—a feature which allows users to film and edit content from the get go.
True to their nature as devices with all the strengths, Poco adds one more service to both Poco F4 and Poco X4 GT. Users now can enjoy premium after-sales service, which offers one-time free screen repair service during the first six months after purchase.
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
The Poco F4 will be available in Malaysia starting from June 27, and will come in two variants – RM 1,599 for the 6GB + 128GB variant and RM 1,699 for the 8GB+256GB variant.
The Poco F4 will come in three colour options – the Moonlight Silver, Night Black and Nebula Green.
The Poco X4 GT will be available slightly later, from June 30 onwards.
Also available in two variants – RM 1,499 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and RM 1,599 for the 8GB+256GB variant, the X4 GT will come in three colours – Black, Blue and Silver.
The Poco F4 will start selling exclusively via Shopee while the Poco X4 GT will start retailing exclusively on Lazada.
