After the Covid-19 pandemic placed everything on pause button between 2020 and 2021, the city is now filled with launches and store openings as brands, local and international, resume their businesses with a bang.
This week, it was Wanderlust + Co's turn to celebrate another milestone-- its first permanent store, in Sunway Pyramid.
The homegrown jewellery brand already has a permanent pop-up store at Bangsar Village 2 and a robust online channel. This addition will add on to its physical presence, especially for customers in areas like Subang and Shah Alam.
SPECIAL STORE
Founder Jenn Low is understandably ecstatic with the opening. The store is very special, she says.
"Even though it is small, every space is well-thought out of, to reflect the brand and to give shoppers the best possible experience," she says.
Located on the lower ground floor, the space reflects a zen, minimal ambience. Designed for optimal customer flow and discovery, the #WCOgirlgang, the brand's community, can expect to discover little pockets of joy here.
There's a secret garden room, with a hidden mirror on the ceiling and "vegetation", like mushroom, on the floor to signify growth.
There are also iconic features such as jewellery concierge located at the front of the store, beautifully designed as an arch window.
To make its jewellery display more approachable with a tangible allure, the brand has a custom magnetic wall to house all of its bestselling pieces, enabling the customers to style and layer the pieces and see the final look in the mirror.
REACH OUT
Low says Sunway Pyramid was chosen to reach out to more customers, geographically and also demographically.
"We already have a store in Bangsar in an upscale neighbourhood mall. This new store will reach to customers from Subang and Shah Alam and also younger customers who frequent this mall,"
"We want to make our collection accessible to all," Low says.
In conjunction with the opening, the brand will host its friends at its new retail home, until tomorrow, Nov 26.
During the event, there will be complimentary engraving services, along with an exclusive preview of their Fine Jewellery range including their newly-launched sustainably-sourced diamonds, in solid 14K gold.
