#Showbiz: Getting thrown off from horse does not deter Faizal Tahir to own Jibril

KUALA LUMPUR: Despite a harrowing experience being thrown off a horse, singer-songwriter Faizal Tahir's passion for horse riding only pushed him further to own a horse which he since named Jibril.

The 41-year-old artiste said that the interest in riding and owning a horse first started when he shot a music video (MV) for his latest single Nobody, which required him to ride the beautiful creature.

"Horse riding is one of the teachings of our Prophet Muhammad. Praise to God, when you want to do something good, you feel that you're blessed when He eases the way for you to realise your dream. Soon after learning to ride, I'm now the proud owner of a stallion named Jibril," shared Faizal in a news report today.

He bought the 11-year-old horse for less than RM10,000.

Recounting the incident when he was thrown off a horse on the first day of shooting the MV, he said: "For some reason, the horse which was brought in for the filming, threw me off close to 2 metres high. Thankfully I didn't suffer any major injuries or fractures from the incident."

"I landed hard on the ground and was in pain. I just took some painkillers and soldiered on with filming. My body was aching for two days after that, until I had some jamu concoction which helped with my recovery," said Faizal who was not at all traumatised by the incident.

The MV for Nobody is released today.
