#Showbiz: Caprice discusses Palestine with 2 Israeli Netizens

KUALA LUMPUR: Hip-hop singer and music producer Ariz Ramli or Caprice has made a "daring" move on social media by discussing the Palestine-Israel conflict with two unlikely persons.

They were two Israeli women, identified as Shiraz and Orin, who discussed the conflict in an informal, "agree-to-disagree" manner with Caprice on his Instagram video yesterday.

The viral discussion between Caprice, Shiraz and Orin lasted two hours, and it was occasionally marked by emotional answers from the Israelis, who felt uneasy with some of Caprice's questions.

Caprice however, kept calm throughout the session, even when the women appeared to lose their cool.

Malaysian Netizens praised Caprice for his bold move, and saluted him for being "steady" throughout the discussion.

A Netizen identified as Mira said: "Good work Caprice, but I feel you should have chosen men instead. We women tend to get worked up easily, and often think of winning debates only!"

Another Netizen, Sofia said: "Respect, Caprice! You really have guts throwing the facts in their faces."

Most Netizens who watched the video felt that Caprice should be lauded for thinking out of the box.

However, many also felt that it was pointless to discuss the conflict with Israeli citizens, as most would defend the actions of their leaders, especially when they spoke to Malaysians who are well-known internationally as "friends of Palestine".

Alif said: "It's good to hold discussions with people who don't share your views, as long as such people understand what it means to agree to disagree."
