#Showbiz: 'Don't throw away your vaccine shots' - Tiara Jacquelina

KUALA LUMPUR: Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical producer, director and actress Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina has advised Malaysians awaiting vaccination for Covid-19 to "avoid wasting their shots".

Tiara, 54, was vaccinated yesterday and braved her longtime fear of the syringe because she felt that it was the only way to beat the coronavirus.

"I refused to throw away my shot. Anyone who knows me, knows that I have a huge fear of getting injected.

"But on the day of my shot, I braved myself for it and had the most positive experience ever," said Tiara in an Instagram post which accompanied a brief video of her vaccination process.

Tiara also praised the frontliners who took care of her at the vaccination centre.

She singled out a male nurse, Chan Kuan Hong from Selayang Hospital as the person who helped her most during the vaccination process.

"Chan Kuan Hong, a staff nurse from Selayang Hospital was the man. He is a wonderful person who talked to me patiently, answered all my questions, and had the soothing music of Air Supply playing in the room.

"Even though we hardly knew each other, he chatted wonderfully with me, till the injection was done," said Tiara.

"We all want to get back to our lives as quickly as we can. So let's go Malaysia, don't throw away your shots!"

Netizens, including fellow actors and actresses, congratulated Tiara on her vaccination and praised her timely advice to Malaysians.
