KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Syamel is hoping for fans to pray for his mother who has been under medically induced coma since last week.
In a recent Insta-Story, the 27-year-old artiste who is married to his duet partner Ernie Zakri, wrote that his mother, Wan Faaizah Karim, 55, who was currently being treated at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) had to be hooked to the ventilator.
He however denied that his mother's condition had anything to do with coronavirus.
"It's been three weeks since she was admitted and it has been a week of medically induced coma.
"At the moment, we're still in the dark as to what had initially triggered her current condition. Prior to this, she never had any major health problem," he said in a news report yesterday.
However, due to the pandemic, no family members are allowed to visit her.
