KUALA LUMPUR: Talented young composer Muhammad Daniel Haikal Azrul Affandi, 14, who caught the attention of singers from the Philippines and the United States, has come out with his latest single, a patriotic song.
Produced in conjunction with the upcoming Independence Day, it is titled Tak Gitu Malaysia.
This marks his 12th composition to date.
Muhammad Daniel Haikal said he spends a lot of his free time composing songs during the Movement Control Order.
"I enjoy composing songs. For the past three months, I have come out with one per week. Singers from the Philippines and the US have performed my compositions," he said in a news report today.
The student of Sekolah Menengah Saujana Impian in Kajang who someday hopes to become a renowned composer said that he was especially proud of Tak Gitu Malaysia since it is performed by his father who is also The New Straits Times Press (M) Berhad's video unit producer Azrul Affandi Sobry.
Lyrics to Tak Gitu Malaysia, penned by Azrul Affandi, touches on unity and racial integration.
The music video is produced by the team from Ink Studio with collaboration from Pencerita TV.
